Meet our carers

Andrew and Yvonne Redwood have been dedicated foster carers for 25 years, providing various types of care with Churches of Christ for 14 of those. They say that the Fraser Coast Foster and Kinship Care Team has been a valuable support system, providing caring and personalised assistance with administration and organising trainings and events. 

Andrew and Yvonne advise potential foster carers to approach the role of foster caring with dedication, trust, patience, and commitment, as it requires creating a safe and loving environment for vulnerable children and teens. Despite the challenges, Andrew and Yvonne believe that making a difference in a young person's life is truly rewarding.
