Ministering Persons and Endorsement

If you are taking on a ministering persons role in one of our affiliated churches, then your wellbeing is important to us. To help us support all our ministering persons we have the requirement that you are endorsed as part of our minimum standards.

Endorsement

If you have been appointed to one of our churches as a ministering person you are required to seek approval to be endorsed as outlined in our minimum standards policy. You are required to fill out and submit the required information outlined below.

• Nomination form - this is the official form that records your personal information. This includes personal details, national police check details, BlueCard details and the role you are undertaking. This needs to be signed by a responsible person from your church. This is usually an elder or the lead pastor.
• Code of Conduct - please email [email protected] to be provided the most recent Code of Conduct form.

Professional Supervision

All endorsed ministering persons are required to undertake professional supervision. Click on the following links for more information:

Upon receiving your nomination form one of our team members from Church Engagement will contact you to organise a face to face meeting to be introduced to our team.

Marriage Registration 

Once your endorsement is approved you can apply through us to be registered as a Marriage Celebrant. To be eligible you to be fully endorsed and have attended one of our marriage training courses. Training dates are yet to be confirmed for 2025.

Please ensure you have:

1. Filled out the second part of the form NOMINATION AND APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION OF MINISTER OF RELIGION – see below
2. Completed the third part of the form (statutory declaration) before an acceptable witness, and
3. Filled out the additional information contained on the form ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SHEET – see below.
